Uriel and Shelly contacted me less than one day before they planned to get married in Kew Gardens, Queens, which is a borough of NYC for those who are reading this blog from afar. Actually, Uriel called us the morning of the day to finalize plans! I squeezed them in at about 3 PM for a quick elopement in North Forest Park, which was just enough time to adhere to the twenty-four hour waiting period after receiving the marriage license in New York. While they plan to have a large celebration with their family and friends back home in Jamaica, they wanted to wrap up the legalities here in New York.
