As I wrote in past entries, Fort Tryon Park is my favorite park in Manhattan. I acknowledge the joys and benefits of other parks. Central Park has variety. Battery Park is next to the water. Bryant Park is home to the New York Public Library. City Hall Park has a stunning fountain. And so on and so forth. Tryon remains a personal favorite. Tryon is more peaceful, it offers a lovely view of the Hudson River, and it is the home of the Cloisters’ Museum. Â (The Little Red Lighthouse is its close competitor, but visiting there is not easy.) If you are pondering places, do consider this pretty, picturesque, and quiet park!
